We are only given one life and I think it’s very important to live it free from regret. I don’t think there has ever been someone looking back on their life who wishes they spent more time working and less time with their family. Quite the opposite I’m sure!

I love my work, but I love a lot of other things too… Personally, my proudest achievement is giving birth to Emily, who is now five.

Until recently I ran my own successful business, asklilach Ltd. I set it up from scratch whilst looking after my 2½ year old. I absolutely loved it but it wasn’t perfect – I was spending a lot of time working when I felt as though I should have been spending quality time with my daughter.

So, I decided to take the brave step and sell it (the business that is, not my daughter) so I could spend more time with my family.

But I still felt as though I needed something more, but something that would fit in around my family. Because of my business success, I have an excellent understanding of the demands of today’s complex business environment. My contribution was recently recognised when I attended the Best Mumpreneur of the Year Award at Downing Street (yes, that’s me).

Lilach Ian and Emily at No 10

Having trained and mentored over 600 people I realised what it was that I wanted to do. After a bit of net surfing and due diligence I discovered the opportunity I’d been looking for. Now I enjoy a fabulous income, run a business that I love and still have plenty of time to spend with my family.

A little history:

Originally, I was born in Israel although I grew up in the UK. I’m married to Ian, who I met in Israel when I was living there. We’ve been together for 13 years, married for 9. We both love travelling, and spent a year travelling around South East Asia and Australia.

As you can see in the photos above, I have a gorgeous daughter Emily who is 5 and is quite a character already! She loves putting on shows and dancing – we recently went on holiday and she won the X Factor! (My hubbie won Mr Hilton too! It must be in the family genes…!)

Before having Emily my love (after hubbie) was travelling which we used to do as much as possible and have been fortunate enough to have gone to many countries and experienced some amazing sights/cultures.

My hobbies:

I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling, reading, going out for meals (too much!!), comedy clubs, and have started going to the gym more lately – although should go more often!
